3 ways Non-Profits can use the Internet to spread the word

We have been really blessed as Squidoo has come forward and assisted the Food for Everyone Foundation, we were selected as the first Non-Profit to create a Squidoo club.

Here is our Squidoo Food for Everyone Gardening club

One of the great ideas the team at Squidoo suggested was to link a Twitter account specific to the niche which in our case is sustainable organic gardening.
Our Gardening Twitter Account.

Third and very powerful is to start up a page on Face book about gardening. Here is a look at the Food for Everyone Foundation Facebook gardening page.

You have to look at what works, Squidoo works for Non-Profits, helping Non-Profits is one of the reasons the company was started.

Happy gardening

Seth on Linkbait

Linkbait is one of the oldest forms of Internet marketing. Create a "Purple cow" and tell people about it, be generous in linking out to sites who also create a Purple cow. Do not get wrapped up in PoweR and loosing "link juice"

Link to those related to your niche and they might just link to you. Common sense? Maybe not.

What is more important to you profit or good karma?

This is a question we all struggle with at times. Here are my thoughts. If you help one person free of charge without expecting anything in return you will get 5-10 times the help in return.

Thankfully there is still people who understand helping others less fortunate but who are motivated is one of the best feelings you can get in life. You can not buy that "buzz"

2008 is the year of the Non-Profit, it seems many companies are realizing the moral and positive benefits of assisting Non-Profits, just take a look at Squidoo, they receive Millions of unique vistirs a month, If you are a Non-Profit I highly suggest you signup for Squidoos NP program, every dollar counts and over time if you create multiple lenses you can bring in decent income every month for your NP.

Why doing what you love is the key to success

Over the years I have tried hundreds of SEO tools, Forums, web2.0 sites.

The one thing in common was I always help promote topics I really enjoy. My favorite topic is homesteading. Being a homesteader you have to do everything yourself. This gives me a great chance to learn about topics I enjoy.

What have I done? Ever heard of Squidoo well I created over 50 lenses over there all on topics I need to learn about to have a successful homestead.

Try to focus on subject areas you love the money will follow after.
