Seek out other motorcycle websites that you enjoy, link to them and let them know about it. The myth of reciprocal linking not counting is exactly that a myth. As long as you are cross linking to a site in the same niche it is fine and of benefit.

People get wrapped up into trying to outsmart the search engines, instead use common sense. The more people you network with in your niche the better, this creates oppourtunity for backlinks and networking which all means traffic.

Moral of the story?
Communicate with people in your niche, if they have a site link to them and them tell them its a great way to meet new friends and also a great networking tool.

3. Take the knowledge learned helping people using the CTWU tools and create other websites
based around the tools on CTWU and OR other subjects you would do because you love doing

What is the most common mistake people make when trying to earn an income online?
In one word it could be called greed.

In other words, people look at earning Big Dollars by selling the latest and greatest get
rich product instead of looking inside themselves and asking what they really love to do for
fun or as a hobby.

Many people start off by selling products they know nothing about and have no interest in.
In a high percentage of cases, people try to sell Internet Marketing and Social Media
products even though they have no practical experience or knowledge of the many different
skill sets involved.

What usually happens is: After 90-120 days, people see no money, become discouraged and
give up. This situation is even worse when the person has already invested money into
products or training. Also, let us not forget about family and friends who are seeing that
person go through the disappointment. This can add stress to relationships and cause you to
give up at the very beginning of the your hoped-for financial independence.

How to avoid this pitfall?
HINT #1: Start your first series of websites about a subject or subjects you are PASSIONATE
about. Ask yourself this question: If you had enough money to do anything you wanted what
would that thing be?

HINT #2: Your first series of websites should be about a subject, or subjects, which you
LOVE. It is much more enjoyable to create content such as an article, Podcast or Video
about a subject you know about and enjoy learning more about. Do you really want to create
a work from home income that becomes just another JOB?

HINT #3: Take a day and just DREAM. Imagine that you have enough money so that you never
have to work again. Then (this is VERY important) ask the people you love what they are
passionate about. If there is a common interest, make sure to use that as one of your
initial website topics.

If there is not a match, then look at this as an opportunity to learn more about the people
you love. Here are some TOPIC IDEA SAMPLES to stimulate your thinking. These are also

What should you do first?
This is what I suggest.
1. Submit to Ezine articles
2. After it is approved modify and lengthen the article Post to your main website ping the engines and social media/bookmarking sites. (I use Pingmyblog and Ping.fm)
3. Add the article to any free blogs you might have.
4. Using the article create a Squidoo lens or Hubpage or both. If you can modify the article again while keeping the core points do so.
5. Take this article especially if it is a “How to” and put it into a Future interview questions folder. You will be seeking out experts in your niche and also networking with people who can interview you in the future.
6. Can this article be a future video? If so put the article into your future videos folder.

The key point is one article with a small amount of effort can be used multiple times and also form the outline for future content creation. Now we have written, Podcast, and Video.

One thing I really like about Ezinearticles is that they have taken the time to create How to videos so please watch the videos and write some articles then you will start to get traffic to your website.

Key questions to ask yourself. These question help you define the "what" you will be building web properties about and as equally important the "why" you are going to build them. The fire and drive which will greatly determine your success.

1. Do you want to live life or just exist? Are you a follower or do you want to control your own destiny?

2. What is the hobby you would do if you had enough money to retire comfortably right now? What would you do everyday?

3. Do you want to build a business you can pass on to your family or loved ones?

4. Are you willing to invest 15-20 hours a week into building your online presence for 12-24 months initially?

5. Are you willing to openly involve your loved ones. Have you considered is there a mutual subject you both or all love doing?

6. Are you willing to Network with help and learn from a Non-Profit in your niche?

My Answers

1. As I get older it seems time passes faster. I have always wanted to earn a living from my Laptop helping and learning about subjects I am passionate about. (My short list Helping cool people with Internet Marketing, Gardening, Alternative Energy, Veterans Benefits, and Homesteading.

2. Being a "Gentlemen Farmer", and Technology activist for Non-Profits.

3. Yes I have no children but lots of family and many, many good people I have met in this journey. I would not be writing this if not for hundreds of great people I have met and learned from along the path.

4. I love doing this "Internet Marketing" thing, so I will do this forever. If I am not "Working for the man" I am on the computer, networking, and always learning in the warmer weather gardening. (To see some of our gardening videos check out our Gardening Non-Profit You Tube channel)

5. Years ago my family was supportive out of concern they always warned me keep my day job. Expect this and I agree with this. My family knows more about Internet Marketing then 98% of the population and I look forward in the near future to building many different websites based around mutual interests. I would suggest involving everyone, perhaps you have a child who is creative and one who digs computers, let your family members do what they like doing and build from there.

6 From this journey I have gained balance, and optimism, the "small stuff" does not bother me as much. If it had not been for helping the Food for Everyone Foundation I might just have given up on the Internet. The Foundation made it fun again and I knew the work I was doing was important. It gave me purpose in life again.

Anchor text:
This is the actual word used to create a back link.
Ex. Gardening Non-Profit, the words themselves are the anchor text.
Anchor text plays a large role in search engine rankings, the more websites you have linking
to you with the given anchor text you want to rank for the higher your rankings potentially
can be. One key thing to remember is the authority and relevance of the site, which is
linking to you, is very important. It is possible for a website to rank number one for a
given term even if they only have a few sites linking to them with the anchor text they are
ranking for.
Example “Change the world U”

Article marketing:
This is a great marketing technique. Write articles about topics in your niche then submit
them to Article directories such as Ezinearticles, Goarticles, and Articlecity. Writing
articles for directories and publications is an excellent way to establish yourself as an
expert in your field. For each article submitted you will be able to create a “signature
box” which allows you to write a short description of your business, website. In this
signature box you can create usually two back links with the anchor text of your choice.
Tip do a search for (“submit articles + Your niche) this will bring up the websites in your
niche which accept articles on their website for publication) Another great article
marketing technique is to do a search for your niche and contact the websites who interest
you offer them an unique article for their site as an introduction and hello. Make sure you
take a few minutes and explore their site and make some positive comments in your
introduction email. This is also a great networking technique.

Authority rank:

This ranking the search engines apply to all websites. Basically your website is ranked based on age of the website, who links to you and how much authority those websites have.
Example: If you had a website about Alternative Energy and a professor from a college link
to one of your pages quoting you that would increase your authority rank. It is not as
complicated as people would want you to think. It is common sense if an expert in your
field quotes you that increase your credibility. A great example of this is when Arraon
Wall’s SEOBOOK was quoted and being used by a professor from the Wharton School of Business.

Back link.
This is the actual link a person put on their website linking to yours. It does not matter
what the anchor text is it is still a back link. Things get profitable when you have the
right websites (authority rank) with the right (anchor text).

Black hat
This is all the stuff you should not do, buy links, Spam people via email, this list is
long, hidden links on your website, selling links without a “no follow”, trying to
manipulate or “game” the search engines with software. The bottom line is if your gut tells
you not to do it then don’t. There is no magic light switch this takes time and effort.
Steer clear of people promising you overnight success in most cases they are either con
artists, practice black hat techniques or both.

Cache
This is when the search engines create a copy of your web page or website to store in their
database. In theory the more you update your website the more times the search engines will
come back to your site and (spider>index>cache)

Content
Content is the key to success on the Internet there are many forms of content, Written,
Video, Pod casts, Screen capture videos, slideshow presentation, interviews.

Directory
A directory is a website that lists other websites based on topic or niche. A human versus
software usually edits high quality directories. There are literally tens of thousands of
directories on the Internet; two of the most popular are Yahoo and DMOZ.

Directory submission
This is the process of submitting your website to the directories. To quicken the process

Duplicate content
This is when people use the same content on different web properties. There is no “penalty”
per se. The key thing to remember is that the original website the content is published on
will get credit for it. This can become problematic if your website does not get indexed
quickly. Example if you write an article and publish it to your website make sure the page
is “cached” before you submit the article to an article directory. WHY? Because the
article directory can get credit for the first know copy of the content.

Digg
A popular social book-marking site, which deals primarily with technology websites.

Keyword
A single word, which you want to rank for in your niche. Ex. “Gardening”

Keyword Phrase
A multiple word phrase you want to rank for in your niche. Ex. “Organic gardening” or
“Gardening Non-Profit”

Long tail Keyword phrase
A three or more word phrase, which you want to rank for in your niche Ex. “Sustainable
gardening Non-Profit”

Myspace
Popular website allowing communication among friends as well as blog, video and music
hosting.
Example Sustainable gardening Myspace page for the Food for Everyone Foundation.
Off page optimization

This is the work you do to build your SE rankings using other sites. Ex. Have other
websites link to you with your proper anchor text, write articles so people can publish them on their websites and link back to you again using proper anchor text, create press releases about events at the company submit them digitally to PRWeb.
Create videos publish them to multiple video sites using Tube Mogul.

These are the tactics you use to maximize your actual websites pages to rank high in the search engines. Ex. Create great metatags and content using the keyword phrases you want to rank high for.

Squidoo
Powerful free website platform. Many uses and modules you can add, very beneficial for
ranking in the search engines for “long tail keyword phrases”

Youtube
Very popular site you can submit your videos for more exposure and traffic. Make the videos
fun and it seems the shorter videos actually get more views so keep that in mind. Ex. Food
for Everyone Youtube channel
